Enjoy a splendid day trip to the Atlas Mountains and embark on an exploratory adventure around the Imlil Valley from Marrakech. After being picked up from your accommodation around 8:30 AM, set out towards the Atlas Mountains for a captivating journey of discovery. Admire the picturesque views during the 45-minute drive through olive tree groves, meadows, and authentic 16th and 17th-century Berber villages until you arrive at the village of Tnine Ourika.
A vibrant weekly market takes place every Monday in this village, attracting people from the surrounding areas. Witness fruit orchards, vegetable terraces, and villages clinging to the hillsides. Marvel at the labor undertaken by the Berbers who hauled materials to construct small houses on mountainsides and worked the terraces in a challenging environment. Continuing from Tnine Ourika, proceed on your journey towards the high Atlas Mountains and Imlil Valley through authentic Berber villages and numerous cultivated terraces, making your way to the village of Tahnaout and the Asni Valley.
After an hour-long drive, you will reach the Imlil Valley and meet your local guide for a walking tour through the astounding Berber villages of Imlil. Delight in the stunning waterfalls and then relish a delicious lunch in a local restaurant before embarking on your final walk back to the village center to meet your driver. Head back to Marrakech through the Kik Plateau, absorbing the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and the Agafay Desert.
