15-Day Morocco Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca
Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival in Casablanca, the country’s largest city, our professional driver will greet you and take you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time and interest, you can explore the city or relax after your journey.
Day 2: Casablanca to Rabat
After breakfast, we’ll visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of Africa’s largest and most beautiful mosques, with a 210-meter minaret. We’ll also stop to admire four large murals near the coast. Later, we’ll continue to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 3: Rabat to Chefchaouen
In the morning, we’ll explore Rabat’s top landmarks. Begin with the Kasbah of the Udayas, a 12th-century fortress and UNESCO World Heritage site. Then visit the Kasbah of Chellah, a fascinating necropolis built on ancient Roman ruins.
Next, we’ll see the Hassan Tower, which was intended to be the world’s largest minaret. When Sultan al-Mansur died in 1199, construction stopped, leaving the site frozen in time.
After exploring Rabat’s highlights, we’ll drive through the scenic Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City.” Spend the night in a charming riad in the old medina.
Day 4: Free Day in Chefchaouen
Enjoy a leisurely day in Chefchaouen. Wander its blue-painted alleys, visit local markets, or hike to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views.
Day 5: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes
After breakfast, we’ll drive through another picturesque section of the Rif Mountains toward Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage location.
Explore the ancient ruins with a local guide, then visit Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, Morocco’s holiest city. Continue to Meknes, a historic imperial city under UNESCO protection since 1996.
You’ll visit Bab Mansour Gate, Hedim Square, the royal stables, and the old Sakkar Prison. In the late afternoon, we’ll head to Fes, Morocco’s cultural capital, for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 6: Fes Sightseeing
Spend a full day exploring Fes, one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in the world. Visit Al-Qarawiyyin University, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the tanneries. Stroll through the maze-like alleys of the medina and experience the city’s vibrant energy.
Day 7: Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, depart for Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert. En route, stop in Ifrane, a charming French-built ski town in the Middle Atlas Mountains, and Azrou Forest, home to wild Barbary macaques.
We’ll pass through Midelt, known for its apple orchards, and stop for lunch before continuing toward the desert. In Merzouga, meet your camel guide for a sunset ride across the dunes to your luxury desert camp.
Dinner will be served under the stars with live Tuareg music, followed by an overnight stay in fully equipped tents.
Day 8: Merzouga to Boumalne Dades
Start the day with a sunrise over the dunes before returning to Merzouga by camel. After breakfast, we’ll drive toward Boumalne Dades, stopping by a 17th-century irrigation canal still in use today.
We’ll explore Todra Gorge, often called Morocco’s “Grand Canyon,” and continue along the scenic Todra Valley before arriving at your hotel overlooking the Dades Valley.
Day 9: Boumalne to Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we’ll travel through the Rose Valley, where Berber women produce authentic rose water and oils. This area thrives during the annual Rose Festival each spring.
Next, we’ll stop in Skoura, a quiet palm oasis. Here, visit the iconic Kasbah Amridil, built in the 17th century and beautifully preserved. Then continue to Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa.” You can tour the film studios where famous movies were shot before checking into your hotel for the night.
Day 10: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Depart Ouarzazate at 8:00 a.m. for a scenic drive to Marrakech. Along the way, visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar featured in many films.
After lunch, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains, descending through breathtaking valleys and winding roads until we reach your riad in Marrakech.
Day 11: Marrakech Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, the “Red City.” Visit Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Majorelle Garden, and Jemaa el-Fna Square.
Your guide will share the city’s rich history and cultural significance as you explore the bustling medina. In the evening, relax at your riad or explore Marrakech’s lively night scene.
Day 12: Day Trip to Ourika Valley
Today we’ll escape the city for a scenic day trip to the Ourika Valley, located 30 km from Marrakech. The valley is home to Berber villages and the beautiful Setti Fatma waterfalls.
Enjoy a local lunch beside the river while taking in the peaceful mountain scenery. Later, return to Marrakech for another restful night in your riad.
Day 13: Marrakech to Essaouira
After three wonderful days in Marrakech, we’ll drive to the Atlantic coast to explore Essaouira, a charming seaside city known for its relaxed vibe.
Stroll along the historic ramparts, visit the fishermen’s port, and wander the medina filled with art galleries and craft shops. Walking is the best way to discover Essaouira’s character and coastal charm.
Day 14: Free Day in Essaouira
Enjoy a full day to relax on the beach, sample fresh seafood, or browse the local markets. Essaouira’s laid-back atmosphere makes it the perfect finale to your Moroccan adventure.
Day 15: Departure
After breakfast, we’ll drive you from Essaouira to your airport for your departure flight. Your 15-day Morocco tour ends with lasting memories of the country’s landscapes, culture, and hospitality.
