Itinerary

Casablanca to Rabat

Day 1

Casablanca Airport to Rabat

Our representative will be waiting at Casablanca International Airport. Look for him in the arrivals hall, holding a placard with your name. He will escort you to your private vehicle.

Begin your 14-day tour of Chefchaouen in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest and most populated city. It’s also the busiest port and economic hub. With a cosmopolitan vibe, Western fashion blends seamlessly with Moroccan culture.

Start with a brief city tour, visiting Place Mohammed V and admiring the city’s stunning Moresque buildings. Explore downtown, the Quartier Habous, and Ain Diab. Don’t miss the Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece by the sea. Its minaret is the tallest in the world, and it’s one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims.

After exploring, continue your 14-day tour of Chefchaouen with a scenic drive to Rabat for an overnight stay.

Chefchaouen Street

Day 2

Rabat to Chefchaouen

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Hassan Tower, standing high above the Wadi Bou Regreg. This gigantic, unfinished mosque is emblematic of Rabat, with storks nesting atop its minaret.

Next, visit the stunning Mausoleum of Mohammed V, adorned with intricate stained glass. Then, explore the Jewish Mellah, now home to only a few Jewish families. Stroll through the nearby gardens and visit the historic Necropolis at Chellah and the Kasbah of the Oudayas.

After your tour, continue your 14-day tour of Chefchaouen with a scenic drive to the Blue City. A peaceful retreat from the bustle of Casablanca and Rabat, Chefchaouen offers a more authentic Moroccan experience.

Nature lovers can hike the nearby Rif Mountains, while shoppers can browse the city’s boutique stores for hand-spun pottery and artisanal soaps. Whether you explore the medina’s charming streets or relax with mint tea, Chefchaouen promises a magical experience.

Fortification walls

Day 3

Chefchaouen to Volubilus & Meknes to Fez

In the morning, begin your journey to Chefchaouen, driving through Morocco’s largest agricultural fields. Arrive around lunchtime in Meknes, an imperial city with winding medina streets and grand historic buildings.

Explore remnants of three fortification walls, cleverly woven into the city’s roadways. Visit the King’s Tomb, located in the heart of the old imperial city. Nearby, admire the impressive Royal Granary and the magnificent Bab el-Mansour gate.

Next, head to Volubilis to explore its UNESCO-designated Roman ruins. Only half of this 40-hectare site has been excavated, revealing remarkable monuments like The Capitol, Basilica, and 1,300-square-meter Forum. The Capitol, dedicated to Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva, dates back to AD 218.

After touring Volubilis, continue your 14-day tour of Chefchaouen with a drive to Fez for an overnight stay.

Fez City Tour

Day 4

Fez City Tour

Welcome to Fez, the most monumental of Morocco’s Imperial Cities. The medina of Fès el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a sensory overload—a maze of narrow lanes, bustling bazaars, and aromatic food stalls.

Walk through uneven alleyways lined with tables piled high with spices, dried fruits, fresh fish, and silk garments. Craftsmen have been hand-working metal and leather here since medieval times, often in the same stalls their ancestors once used. Cats roam everywhere, prowling, scrounging, and sleeping—the true mascots of the medina.

Old and new collide in Fez. Donkey drivers chat on mobile phones, and the ancient skyline is dotted with both satellite dishes and minarets. Your city tour includes Bab Boujloud, Mellah, and Jamaa Al-Karaouine, the world’s oldest continuously operating university, founded in 859. Inside, intricate geometric patterns cover nearly every surface.

Next, visit Medersa Bouanania, the spiritual heart of Fez, followed by the famous Chaouwara Tanneries, where leather is still processed using centuries-old methods. If time allows, explore artisan quarters, clay workshops, and the lively souks of Morocco’s largest and oldest medina. End your tour at Batha Museum, a former royal palace turned museum, showcasing over 6,000 artifacts.

Your 14-day tour of Chefchaouen continues tomorrow, with more unforgettable experiences ahead.

Next, visit the breathtaking Toudgha Gorges, where towering 300m cliffs carve through the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy an optional lunch here before heading northwest.

Continue to Kelaat M’Gouna, known for its rose cultivation and fragrant rose-infused products. Then, travel through the Dades Valley to Skoura. Check in to Dar Panorama, an astonishing retreat in the area.

Next, head to Ouarzazate, where Taourirt Kasbah once served as a trading hub for people from the Atlas, Draa, and Dades Valleys. In the 1920s, a modern garrison town was established to manage French colonial interests.

Visit Tifoultout Kasbah and explore Ouarzazate’s film studios, where epic desert scenes were shot for films like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Alexander.

Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, the iconic fortress featured in countless movies.

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tiz In Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech for an overnight stay. Your 14-day tour of Chefchaouen continues with more adventures ahead.

Today, you’ll visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments in Marrakech, beginning with the Badiaa Palace, built in the late 19th century. The visit also includes the iconic Koutoubia Mosque.

Next, we’ll drive to the stunning Jardin Majorelle. Yves Saint Laurent gifted the garden to Marrakech in 1966. It features an electric-blue villa and over 300 plant species from five continents, thanks to Abderrazak Benchaâbane, a Marrakshi ethnobotanist. The Berber Museum in the garden displays authentic Moroccan garments, weapons, and jewelry.

After lunch in the Medina (at your own expense), take a stroll through its narrow, labyrinthine streets and explore the famous Souks, selling everything from leather to spices.

At 3:30 PM, enjoy a special gastronomic experience with a Moroccan chef. Learn about North African food culture as the chef guides you through a local market to select fresh produce. Then, enjoy a cooking class, where you’ll savor the delicious dishes prepared.

Return to your hotel for free time and overnight.

Essaouira City from Marrakech

Day 10

Marrakech to Essaouira (Argan Production Process)

This morning, you’ll be transferred from your hotel to Essaouira. On the way, stop at an Argan oil cooperative where you’ll experience the traditional oil-making process with local women.

The women start by cracking Argan fruits to reach the kernels. After roasting the kernels to bring out the flavor, they cool them before grinding them into a thick, oily paste using a traditional rock grinder (Azerg).

One of the women then mixes the oily paste with warm water and hand-kneads it, bringing the pure Argan oil to the surface for filtering. The leftover brown dough, called Tazegmount, is protein-rich and used for cosmetics or as animal feed.

You’ll learn about every step of the process, from harvesting the fruits to making Argan oil products. Enjoy a Berber lunch at the cooperative before continuing your journey to Essaouira.

Once in Essaouira, you’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
